This scripture passage tells us that the Lord is always near. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.You will be united with your loved ones to dwell where there will be no more death, crying, or sorrow. Have faith as you wait patiently for that wonderful day when the Lord shall appear in all His glory and splendor. The grief will not last and one day all suffering will be over. Losing a loved one may bring temporary grief and suffering now. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.Like the apostle Pual you can say, ".thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus laid down His life and took it up again to conquer sin and death. O death, where is thy sting? The Lord has placed much thought into the destiny of your loved ones and He would rather allow them to sleep than to have them endure 'evil to come' Isaiah 55:8,9 says that, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts". This scripture passage provides the perfect answer for those who have questions for God after a loved one has passed. Why did God allow my child to die tragically? Why didn't God heal my mother? Why didn't the Lord allow someone else to die? Why me Lord? The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.One day, all our loved ones who are sleeping in Christ will be awakened in the resurrection of life. There is great hope knowing that when our loved ones pass away they are only sleeping. Jesus called, 'Lazarus, come forth' and after being dead for four days Lazarus was awakened and got up out of his tomb. In this Bible verse we learn that death is just a sleep. These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.That is why Jeremiah 22:10 encourages, 'weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him.for he shall return no more.". Instead of mourning, David anointed himself, worshiped God, and had something to eat.īefore the child died he fasted, after the child died David acknowledged that there was nothing else he could do. When he found out that the child had died his countenance changed. He was sorrowful, hoping that God would spare the life of the child. The illness of the child in this story was linked to a wrong that David had committed.
